Introducing The Band

July 18, 2021

Hello there, I’m Mark – I like designing and building my own original creations out of LEGO.

For the past year or so I have been posting pictures of  my builds on Instagram under the name @a_lego_dad.

I am married to Catherine (who is most definitely not also known as a_lego_mum).

We have three children — Kitty, Ned and Nell — sometimes collectively known as @some_lego_children (at least as far as Instagram is concerned).

Ned is 13. He is our chief builder and in-house expert on Star Wars, Marvel and Harry Potter LEGO. He has his own brick-based Instagram account: @a_lego_son.

Kitty (14) is our artist in residence. She can design and build pretty much anything she likes, but doesn’t like to confine herself to the medium of plastic bricks.

Nell, who is six, is in charge of quality control.  She has a great eye for detail and is my harshest critic. Nothing gets posted without her approval!
